In-Store Fulfilment or ISF as it is known is a retail strategy that allows physical retail stores to dispatch stock items straight from the store direct to online customers or to other stores as needed.
As an omichannel fulfilment model, ISF is all about optimising the amount of stock on hand at each location and decentralising the warehousing and order fulfilment functions of a retail business.
ISF results in more sales, because one store (or indeed, head office running the E-commerce function) does not need to physically hold stock on hand to fulfil an order -fulfulment can be executed by any store within the chain.
